INVITATION
Distinguished Colleagues and Dear Friends,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 43rd National Gastroenterology Congress, the longest-established and most prestigious scientific meeting of the Turkish Society of Gastroenterology, to be held between December 1–6, 2026, at the Rixos Sungate Hotel in Antalya. As the Organizing Committee, we experience both the pride and the genuine excitement of assuming responsibility for this valued legacy. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Executive Board of our Society for entrusting us with this important responsibility.
To date, we have experienced a series of highly fulfilling congresses, each of which has raised the bar further, both scientifically and socially. Our sole objective is not to claim that “we have done the best,” but rather—fully aware that this congress is part of a relay—to preserve the high standards established through the dedicated efforts of previous committees and to sustain a true scientific forum where collegiality and accumulated knowledge are shared.
Guided by the motto “Our Passion is Science, Our Compass is Humanity – Our Route is Gastroenterology,” we are working closely with a dedicated and experienced team to develop an innovative, inclusive, and scientifically rigorous program that places both science and people at its core. While every effort is being made to ensure excellence in all aspects of the congress, we kindly ask for your understanding should any minor oversights occur during this intensive preparation process.
What Awaits You in the Scientific Program? The experience gained over previous years and the valuable feedback we have received from you have served as the primary guiding principles in shaping this year’s scientific program.
Integrated Abstract Sessions: Following the positive outcomes observed last year, we will continue with the integrated abstract session format. Oral presentations will be incorporated into the relevant main thematic sessions rather than being scheduled in separate halls. This approach aims to promote more dynamic, coherent, and interactive scientific discussions.
This year, we will once again welcome distinguished international speakers who are leaders in their respective fields. In addition, efforts are ongoing to further expand the scope of the program by introducing new session formats that will bring together prominent scientists and clinicians, thereby enriching the scientific content of the congress.
The true driving force of our congress is the scientific contribution of our participants. We therefore eagerly encourage the submission of oral and poster abstracts. We would also like to emphasize that all accepted abstracts will be published as a supplementary issue of the Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology (TJG), the official journal of the Turkish Society of Gastroenterology. Applications will be submitted for the UGH 2026 Abstract Supplement to be indexed in the Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index (WoS CPCI). Upon successful technical and scientific evaluation by Web of Science, each accepted abstract will receive an individual WoS record and DOI, ensuring international visibility and citability.
We firmly believe that scientific progress is achieved through collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. We look forward to meeting you in a scientific program enriched by your valuable contributions.
It will be a great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 43rd National Gastroenterology Congress.
We look forward to seeing you in Antalya this December.

Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Taylan Kav
